5 bags hard candy (1 each box) 2 bags lifesaver's 48 rainbow hair tie's  3 bags of marbles (50 ct) 2 jax sets 10 pencil sharpeners  3 jump ropes (2 each box) 10 zipper binder pouches with approximately: 17 pencils,14 colored pencils,24 crayons,1 pencil sharpener, 4 cap erasers note on the pencil sharpener's there are total of 20, 10 with the shaving catchers like the full thing and those are in the boxes, then 10 (1 in a pouch) of just the sharpening part, its a crayon/pencil sharpener 2 giant plastic red crayon shaped crayon sharpeners  20 folders ( 4 pink,black,green,blue,purple) (4 in each box) 1,000 sheets of blank paper stuffed in the folders  60 notebooks (12 each box) in total: 168 pencils,144 colored pencils, 240 crayons, 48 cap erasers

sorry i havent posted in a while been sick for the past week due to a sinus infection :(
ok so my friend hope and i went out and got $160 worth of stuff, i will put the whole list in a different post, it was really really fun and then we packed them and got a ton of stuff in only 5 boxes!! the next day i was out sick but we needed to get them shipped so my dad and i went out and shipped them, we looked kinda weird but i dont care!  i checked up on them on the online tracking, they only updated one, and it only "got" to the sorting faculty, and by today i was worried they weren't going to get there in time but thankfully either she had made a special request about them or it was a good week so they got there in only 8 days! i just got the email saying that she is shipping out in about a week and a half so she is going to deliver the stuff in the next week!! to the soldiers stay safe and well, keep strong and wise, dont go insane, and i will talk to you guys soon!

ok so my dad and i went to the bank today to turn in all the coins and we ended up with an official total of $225!!!!!! isnt that epic! so thats it today. to the soldiers keep safe, stay strong, and come home safe/soon! i will

that was what i was doing all weekend!!
so from Friday night to Saturday at midnight i was a hermit locked up in my room at my grammy's counting the rolling penny's, i was also watching movies the whole time just to give me some sort of entertainment lol. i watched Uncle Buck,The Bourne Ultimatim, Facing the Giants, and Despicable Me (twice). i think i have gone a bit insane when it comes to all this but i don't care. my parents, teacher, and assistant principal all thought i should use the change machine at Meijer's but i wouldn't go for it because it would cost about $5-10 and that would be up to 100 pencil's for the kids! so i decided to put in the man hours instead! we have $42.31 in penny's alone, i still have the silver left to go, i cannot wait to see the banks expression when i bring it in lol!!

END OF THE WAR!!

what war you might ask? well the penny war of course!! i wish it was the end of the real wars but that is wishful thinking right now :(. so today was the last day and my friends and i counted the rest of the money and the total is..drum roll please............$207.73!!!!!!!! isn't that amazing!?!?! pellerito's 2nd hour class won, a bummer for my class but i still get a donut!!!!! lol, so to all the soldier's at Alyssa's unit you will be getting packages within the next few weeks!! i don't know how many we will be able to send but we will be sure to pack them full!! i hope all of you are safe and i salute all your hard work!! talk to all ya guys soon!  probably once we start making the packages

so today is an exciting day because we are officially one week through the penny war! isn't that AWESOME!!
i am so siked about this!!! so for our totals drum-roll please...........KEIMEG 3RD is in the lead! they currently have 2,725 points! ruh ro! the other classes have got to catch up! im in pellerito 5th so this is NOT good news for me! the other 6 classes are all in the negatives! we have raised a grand total of drum-roll please................$56.25!!!!!!!!!! amazing job everyone! im going to put up posters with the point totals so hopefully they will bring alot more next week! cross your fingers! its getting pretty competitive becuase the winner gets a Krispy Kream  donut party!! thats our update and im really excited!! keep safe soldiers! a sulate to the soldiers! bye everyone see you guys by next friday!!

an update!

hey everyone!!
so nothin much goin on yet but an update koole-mcurdy's has nothing!! Ruh-roh! as Scooby Doo would say lol!
keimeg's barely has anything, and pellerito well 1st has barely anything 2nd i think is in the lead, 4th in second and my hour 5th dosent have much..... :( oh well! so thats whats going on! i hope all of the soilders are safe and well! a salute to you guys and i will see at latest by friday!!!

FIRST DAY!!

so we got the containers yesterday!! we forgot to cut holes in them last night so we had to do it this morning, i had an appointment at 8:15 so i dropped off the containers then hurried to my appointment. when it came time for 5th hour i was really really excited!! i was really surprised because the later in the day classes seemed the most excited but the first were like so quiet so i thought i would get a better result from the 3rd-5th hour classes but it turned out that the 1st and 2nd classes had the most!! at least in pellerito, i peeked  into keimeg's and there was barely anything!! but its still early! i wasnt able to check Koole-McCurdy's yet. please keep safe and strong soilders!  a salute to all the soilders, come home soon you guys!! bye everyone!!

hey everyone!
ok so today me and my other to friends who are doing the final project told the 7 competing classes about the penny war! apparently i was a really good speaker and did a good job! it was really fun and it made my day better than what it was. i went by myself to 3 classes and my 2 friends went together to the other 3, then we told our class all together about it. the first class i went to it was about 7:30 in the morning and as many of you know teenagers dont like the mornings at all, well if you have ever watched anything where it was like complete silence and there were crickets chirping well that was what happened with my first class although thankfully they did ask some questions. the second class i went to asked a couple questions but it was still like 7:30 in the morning. the 3rd class i went to was alot more upbeat becuase it was in the middle of the day. they asked lots of questions and seemed excited. my class was in the middle. my friends classes went a little differently, they didnt know much and didnt have everything set in their head like i did so they kinda messed up and got confused so they had to get our teacher to help! im really excited becuase it seems to be going really well i cant wait to see the first days outcome! to all the soilders out there be safe and come home soon! i salute you guys and your hard work and i will be back in a few days!! bye!!!

So to get you all caught up I'm doing a penny war to raise money to use to make care packages for my solider pen pal's unit and the villagers. Ive been working on this for about 4 months now and I'm excited that its taking off! I have been in contact with Alyssa for about 7 months now.I found her on www.adoptaussoilder.org, it is an amazing organization that sets up citizens with deployed military personal to have as a pen pal. She is an amazing person and i cant wait to finally meet her in person,sadly she wont be able to make it for my speech because she will just be flying back from overseas at that point, but i know that it is more important to be out there than at my speech. I have to have a speech because i am doing this as my final project for teen leadership. so far everything is going pretty smoothly, in a few days i will tell the other teen leadership classes about the penny war because they are the ones participating in it.I am mostly making this to just spread the word of the little things that you can do to make a difference.It is also a very easy way to keep the soldier's in her unit updated if they have the chance. For all the going to be soldier's, active duty, and veterans i thank you for all that you have done to protect this country. i hope that for all the ones in training, at the academy's, and on active duty that you are safe and well and that you keep your strength up and continue to be brave! I am also planning on joining the force too, i used to want to be a naval officer and i was obsessed about becoming a Navy S.E.A.L., i changed to the air force after an incident over christmas break (i went off my meds) and my parents said the air force would be a better choice, i now wanna be an combat controller ( special forces) and of course an officer, i am still against that females cant be spec ops and i want to change that! probably when im in the force and have more contacts!   If you are reading this and your in Alyssa's unit please comment on what you personally want in the care packages and what would be good for the village kids, i will ask Alyssa to spread the word if she hasn't already!
